WeVideo Ambassadors

The WeVideo Ambassador Program honors, celebrates, and empowers educators who routinely infuse video creation and interactive video into their teaching practice. 

WeVideo Ambassadors are passionate about facilitating opportunities for students to express themselves creatively and enhance learning through multimedia creation and interactive video. They demonstrate leadership beyond their classroom, inspiring other educators to make digital storytelling and interactive video available to all students. 

Benefits of being a WeVideo Ambassador include a free WeVideo Ambassador account with interactivity and beta environments; first-to-know WeVideo knowledge, including beta testing and new product features; time to connect, learn, and grow with a community of creative educators and leaders; leadership opportunities to support WeVideo initiatives and programs (conference presentations, regional trainings, educator spotlight series, social media); paid opportunities to write and publish on the WeVideo blog; and WeVideo swag and other fun rewards.

Responsibilities of being a WeVideo Ambassador include helping drive active use of WeVideo; attend; at least three quarterly meetings per year; promote the WeVideo creative challenge each month; create and share interactive videos made with WeVideo; provide product feedback to help shape the future of video creation and interactive video; and promote key initiatives such as the assignment library and WeVideo certification courses. Read our ambassador program overview to learn more!

Andre was an early adopter of educational technology and used his eight years of professional production experience to craft a curriculum rooted in media literacy, audio/visual production, and design thinking that can be used from kindergarten through high school. Over the past 16 years, he has continued to use innovative teaching strategies to introduce students and colleagues to the tools and techniques of multimedia production. Andre holds a professional certification in both Visual Arts and Educational Technology and currently teaches Digital Media at Blind Brook Middle School in Rye Brook, NY.

Andrea Perrin began her teaching career over 25 years ago and after spending twelve years as a 7th grade social studies teacher, she earned her school library media endorsement and hasn’t regretted a minute of the change. After her school district went 1:1 using Chromebooks, she championed the school’s purchase of WeVideo. She was recently selected to write a chapter for a book published by the Illinois Digital Educator’s Alliance where she mentioned the solution. Andrea has a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, is a Level 1 Certified Google Educator, and a Future Ready Librarian.

Craig Dunlap is the Blended Learning Teacher at Yealey Elementary School in Florence, KY. He loves teaching students about robotics, coding, digital storytelling, and especially video production. Craig's favorite place is outside — whether on a hiking trail or on a beach — with his family. He is a frequent presenter at KySTE and ISTE. Craig is an ambassador for both WeVideo and Kodable and was the 2021 Kentucky Technology Teacher of the Year.

Eric Peterson retired from teaching after 32 years teaching 6th grade math and computers while coaching basketball. Eric is now pursuing his passion of video production focused on sports highlights, music videos, documentaries, and sharing video production with teachers to use with their students. Eric has had kids use WeVideo to make book trailers, “highlight” videos, “how-to” videos, weather forecasts using a green screen, and music videos among many other projects.

Over the past few years Jospeh Letson has helped teachers at Lauffer Middle School in Tucson, Arizona integrate technology into their lessons and projects. Lex has been a head of IT, Computing, Digital Learning and now Innovation in schools in the London and South East area for more than ten years. He has embraced the development of teaching, learning and digital storytelling as a way of enriching students' experiences, developing their creativity and accelerating their learning. The flexibility of WeVideo has allowed him to pursue the use of documentary, vlogging, narrative, instruction and more recently branching multimedia roleplaying through video. Lang has loved being able to demonstrate the flexibility that WeVideo's browser and app gateways provide. At a time of great generational change in education, it has also proved to be a powerful tool in strengthening links between schools and parents, as well as the children, with flipped learning and explanatory videos enabling access to all.
